WHAT Are RECs?
Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) are certificates that represent 1 megawatt-hour of energy generated from renewable power sources like solar power and wind power. Buying RECs allows us to sponsor the production of renewable energy to replace energy derived from fossil fuels. This has two important benefits for the environment:
